The Biletnikoff Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting youth, primarily from low to moderate income neighborhoods or backgrounds, who are “at risk” particularly to the realities of drug and alcohol addiction as well as domestic and gender violence.
Our next important task will be the establishment of a Tracey’s Place of Hope in Placer County. We believe one of our most successful accomplishments was to establish Tracey’s Place of Hope in San Mateo County in 1999. In conjunction with community programs we support scheduled activities and group sessions on site and at the counseling center. The program is targeted to teens who are low-income, at risk of homelessness, with a history of substance-abuse related problems as well as other mental health issues.
The mission of our foundation is to commemorate Tracey Biletnikoff who was brutally murdered in 1999 at a very young age. Tracey, after recovering from drug and alcohol abuse through programs like those supported by the Biletnikoff Foundation, dedicated her life to helping “at risk” youth avoid or recover from similar experiences.
The foundation has focused the majority (approximately 80%) of resources, volunteers, etc. on supporting programs targeting “at risk” youths predominately from low- to moderate-income neighborhoods. However, we believe that youths of all ages and backgrounds are susceptible to various addictions and violence. Therefore, our goal is to reach out to as many youths as possible so that we may help them avoid or recover from violence, drugs and alcohol, which are crippling the youth of this country.

(Coming soon in 2012)
From 1999 to 2009, Traceys Place of Hope in San Mateo County, now serving adult women, helped many teen girls struggling with addiction, alcoholism and eating disorders to gain insight into their addiction, begin the journey of recovery, and assist them in acquiring the critical skills needed to prevent relapse in the future. In keeping with the treatment program that helped Tracey, we envision additional Traceys Places of Hope offering outpatient therapy where teen girls (ages 12-17 years of age) can turn for support, skill building and supervision.

Struggling with drug and alcohol abuse and eating disorders often goes hand-in-hand with anxiety, depression, or other serious psychiatric conditions. This can make regaining physical and mental health challenging and complicated. We hope to provide programs that focus treatment on both substance abuse and struggles with psychiatric symptoms.
We seek out innovative programs and invest only in those proven to keep children safe from harm.
